This is my season review of Foster—I joined Season Two of their writing collective in January. I’ve mentioned them several times in previous essays and wanted to shed some light.
This came out at the right time! I've been noticing the itch to collaborate and more importantly share my work but keep second-guessing it and didn't consider writing groups (probably because of selective avoidance haha). Will definitely be looking into Foster.
What a lovely piece! Makes me want to check out Foster as well. I’m so happy you had the supportive community because the writing you have been putting out has been amazing!
thanks Michelle, yeah I'd definitely recommend it. I know the focus for the next season is "serious writers" like us lol. Aka people who are publishing consistently. Although if I were you, I'd ask what the additional benefit would be given you've already done WoP

PS: I saw on the website that Minnow Park is a coach!! He was the first “stranger” I reached out to during orientation day in Seth Godin’s Freelancer Workshop four years ago! ☺️☺️yeah it was just what I needed at the perfect time. Haha I still don't know what my main gig is or will be but I'm so glad I took the plunge to find out. Some days I'm like "writer", other days it's more "1/3 writer, 1/3 coach??, 1/3 engineer". Still figuring it out tbh.
Wow what a small world. Minnow did my "interview" for Foster. Never heard of that workshop, was it helpful? Do you freelance now?
Maybe I should revise to say that your SOUL is on the main drag! It’ll all line up… own that shit!! 😉 Seth’s TFW set me on a wild ride 😳 but made me the creative I am today (with alllll its detours). I’m with a small design shop of five women now, but I freelanced on my own for five years and it was an incredible experience!
